Today was my First day to change the tires on the scooter.
This took a long, LONG time, and cost me a LOT of money!
I’m thinking that I will do it one more time when I get back to Colorado (this time by myself) and then I will get a scooter or e-bike that is more maintenance friendly.
If I can find one!
The current Kaabo design requiring the wheels to remain connected to the scooter while working on the tires, plus the necessity of using tire irons to pry OFF the old tire AND to pry ON the new tire is simply too troublesome to deal with; especially since I know that I will need at least SIX MORE tire changes before The Journey is completed, not to mention any unforseen repair situations that may crop up.
There ARE obviously better and more professional ways to facilitate maintenance on serious equipment.
Scooter manufacturers just need to decide whether they are going to produce cheap toys or serious personal electric vehicles.
I’m proving that micro-vehicles can be useful for long-distance travel AND utility purposes.
Now all I need to do is find a PEV manufacturer that wants to truly get serious about leading the way in this emerging product market.
Anyone interested?…
