Another rainy day to start, but the sun came out in the afternoon.

I decided to stay at the Lamplighter Campground for two days because the weather forecast called for sunshine on Sunday. I wanted to enjoy a sunny day, so I stayed (and updated a post).

On Sunday morning I rode the scooter into town to check out the sites and grab breakfast.

As usual, the scooter attracted a lot of attention.

The featured image for today’s post (again) perfectly encapsulates the curiosity, dismay, wonder, astonishment and questioning look that I’ve seen hundreds of times during the past month.

I remember that the truck pulled up to where I was sitting charging the scooter with the trailer attached.

The driver got out and went inside the store.

The dog was sitting in the middle of the back seat, but after a few glances my direction, he moved to the window and hung out trying to get a closer look or somehow figure out what the crazy contraption in front of him was all about.

“What in the world is THAT thing?” he seemed to say.

I explained the whole trip to him — where I had come from, how, why, and where I was going — but I don’t think he believed me because he just hung out a bit farther before shaking his head and then returning to the middle of the seat.

Bipeds and quadrupeds are a lot alike, especially it seems in the case of large electric scooters pulling one-wheeled trailers.

(But, come to think of it, maybe he was just interested in my slice of pizza. Oh well.)

Sunday was the First day I did not scoot because the weather was NICE.

Sometimes we just need to stop and smell the flowers that are lining our paths before we all too quickly “hurry off as if nothing ever happened. “

Even if those flowers are only lining the paths to the wash room…
