First Day I ever stayed in a Canadian Provincial Park. Actually it’s the First two days that I ever stayed in a Canadian Government campground.

I decided to stay two nights in Yahk, British Columbia for one reason only: I thought that if I continued on into Creston, BC I might ride too far and break the World Record for the longest-distance solo electric scooter ride before I was ready.

Tomorrow, June 4th, is my son’s birthday.

Daniel will be 36.

A few weeks ago it occurred to me that I might be able to work it out so that I broke the record on his birthday.

God willing, it seems that will happen.

The park was very nice and Karen, the Park Ranger allowed me to camp in a nice spot because of my back problems (which, incidentally may be improving, but certainly weren’t helped by a night sleeping on the ground in Cranbrook!)

Once again–to purposefully belabor the point–ALL government buildings and facilities of ALL types, including campgrounds, need to offer minimal electric services to citizens and patrons.

Come on political people, get with the program! Do you really expect your customers to always bring solar panels and charging bricks with them simply to charge their phones (mych less their PEVs) while staying at your facilities?

If you TRULY want to “save the planet,” “stop global warming,” and whatever other political slogans you find popular at the moment, then simply PUT IN A FEW PLUGS! (or at least stop charging the exorbitant fees that should easily cover the costs of a few electrical services. )

BTW, are you listening McDonalds?

In Powell, WY the McDonalds restaurant there PLUGGED UP all their wall receptacles with covers, probably because they proved too popular with the students from the nearby schools.

Too bad. I no longer patronize any McDonalds restaurants because of their obvious hypocrisy: they want student dollars but don’t want student customers to linger on their premises.

It’s 2022 people! Time to put up or shut up!

I urge all of you to keep an eye out for blatant hypocrisy and greed like that demonstrated by the Powell, Wyoming McDonalds restaurant.

When you see it, STOP GIVING THEM YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY AND START MAKING THEIR LIVES DIFFICULT just like they are doing to you and your kids, especially in Powell, WY.

Go to City Brew Coffee.

They have good food, good coffee and electrical outlets and comfortable tables and chairs EVERYWHERE; inside AND outside!

They welcome you to stay!

I’ll be back.

If you haven’t tried City Brew, give it a shot (pun intended). And bring your phone, tablet, laptop AND your PEV.

Your PEV can wait outside next to the electrical outlet.

You can enjoy the inside.

Tomorrow is my son’s 36th birthday, and, God willing, a New World’s Record…
