—  113 —

Today was the First day that I took a major wrong turn!

I was planning to head east on Hwy 12 towards Chehalis, WA, but instead I kept going south on Hwy 101 and, DELIGHTFULLY, ended up in Raymond.

It’s going to add about 15 miles to my trip, and I had to cancel my reservation for Lewis and Clark State Campground which cost $25, but I think it was worth it because of Subway.

The Subway shop in Raymond is right next to the grocery store and it’s a GREAT place to charge the scooter and all your devices, and have lunch, too!

In sharp contrast to McDonalds, this Subway shop offers FREE WIFI and there are charging receptacles AND USB charging ports ALL AROUND THE PERIMETER of the inside.

Way to go Raymond Subway!

Your definitely on the right track!

After I charge up, I’m hoping to find an open spot at Rainbow Falls State Campground which is about 37 miles from here.

Since I’m not sure if the campground has power, I may try to charge a bit in Pe Ell which is 28 miles from here just in case.

Raymond is a quaint little town and I imagine that it will be hopping in the next few years judging by the amount of construction going on downtown.

If you get a chance, stop in  grab a Sub, and enjoy the WIFI, accessible electricity, and the picnic tables overlooking the river.

Rainbow Falls here I come!…

At the campground I met a very nice group of people who invited me to join them for an excellent, unexpected dinner. It was great!

I first encountered Evan and Emily as I was riding around looking for a campsite.

They were both on their one-wheels enjoying an electric Glide, too!

Thank you all for a thoroughly enjoyable evening and morning!

JOY THE DAY!

Sometimes the very best things happen when you take the “wrong” turn in the road…
