Highway 12 to Morton was superb, recently paved, with a clean, WIDE shoulder. Thank you!
And thank you, Morton Farmers Market folks for all your help with lunch, laundry, and charging!
Nice people.
I took a break to see the Mossyrock Dam about 12 miles west of Morton.
At 605 feet high and 1667 feet in length, the Mossyrock dam is the tallest dam in Washington State, and is one of the First double curvature concrete arch dams built in the Western Hemisphere.

It’s quite impressive as an engineering achievement completed in 1967.
With its initial hydroelectric generating capacity of over a BILLION kilowatt hours per year, you could certainly charge up a LOT of personal electric vehicles!
Way to go Mossyrock!
Tomorrow I’ll be moving up in the world as I climb over 4500 foot White Pass!
Hopefully it won’t be too cold up in the Goat Rocks Wilderness…
