Once I realized that an electric scooter might open up some unique opportunities, I began considering what those opportunities and challenges might be. I began learning what sort of scooter, if any, would be up to the activities I envisioned.
The first time I saw a Kaabo Wolf scooter, I imagined that I might be able to use it for some significant, if not truly remarkable, purpose. But upon closer review, the first Wolf Warrior I was smitten with was far from what I initially imagined. So I began looking elsewhere.
Not long after my search for an “ideal” ultra-utility electric scooter began, Kaabo released the Wolf Warrior King. Again I was smitten and high hopes returned. But, alas, the King still had too many design compromises for me to seriously consider using it for an ultra-distance adventure.
Weeks passed and I almost convinced myself to abandon my stubborn fixation on the way-cool, dual-stem and wrap-around-tube frame design of the Wolf models and settle for the more common “box” frame of Kaabo’s competitors, when at last my prayers were answered — Kaabo announced the new generation Wolf King GT. That’s when I knew that someday soon one would become a significant part of my future.
My golden Kaabo Wolf King GT arrived on October, 6th, 2021. It was one of the first to arrive in the USA. After several essential modifications — including a custom trailer hitch and luggage rack — this true Overland Scooter is now ready to take on the very first, single scooter, Transcontinental Electric Scooter Expedition ever attempted.
The Journey will cover more than 21,000 miles over approximately 18 months and culminate in the first ever arrival of an electric scooter on the continent of Antarctica.
